Girls Build™ is a non-profit organization based in Portland, OR, inspiring curiosity and confidence in girls through the world of building. We currently teach carpentry, electrical, plumbing, sheet metal, and more to girls Oregon and Idaho.
Girls Build™ was founded in 2016 by carpenter Katie Hughes. The first year of summer camp sold out, and camps have sold out every year since! Since its start nine summers ago, Girls Build™ has gone from teaching 80 girls over two weeks of camp to now empowering close to 500 girls over eight weeks of camps per summer alone.
Jackson Street Youth Services is here to promote safety, stability, and well-being for youth. We work to prevent homelessness by showing a path to longterm success through building positive relationships and skills for self-sufficiency.
Jackson Street Youth Services offers youth a safe place to live and resources to work through crises and towards a brighter, more stable future. Founded to fill a gap in housing for homeless youth, we now serve youth throughout Linn, Benton, and Lincoln Counties. We rely on donations and partnerships. Together, we will end youth homelessness.
